Later this year, art.earth Books will publish On a day like today we just need to look forward (culture | imagining | energy | creativity) and we want to hear from you. We believe our title urges hope, and that’s something we cling to as the world turns on itself and is headed down a path of mass destruction all centred around fossil fuels, the very thing where we thought the debate was settled and the directions all heading true. Not so, it seems. Greedy and foolish man (and yes, it is pretty much exclusively men) are fighting like toddlers over their primacy to extract, sell and profit from the stuff that others will burn in their homes and office.

Just a month or so ago, long after this book was birthed, we thought the debate was all about Hope, about the ultimate drift away from these extractive horrors to harness and harvest the power of nature. But all that has changed and we cannot develop this book further without acknowledging that fact.

But we have not let go of hope. We are inviting artists, thinkers, makers and disruptors to come together in these pages. That means we are inviting you: we need your emotional and intellectual energy to help fuel hope once again. We want to hear from you about how to resist, cajole, inspire, move to tears, move to laughter.

If you think you have something to say (or show) please take more of a look at https://artearthbooks.com/a-day-like-today/ and send us your thoughts before May 9.
